Howdy! Thanks for visiting!
My name is Ginny and I have a longstanding love affair with the outdoors (and the gear to get me there!).
I have spent the last almost 7 years in the outdoor industry, at an amazing women’s sportswear company called Title Nine. I love working with women and even more importantly, I love helping people to get outdoors! I started an outdoors outreach program and guided hiking and snowshoeing trips all over Oregon and Washington with Title Nine. More importantly, I had the opportunity to witness hundreds of women’s lives changed through outdoor education and the experience of being outside with a group of like-minded ladies!
Playing outdoors is a huge part of my life, which I learned early on as a young adult. I spent one summer working in an office and hated it! After that, I spent 6 seasons working trails in places like Mt Rainier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana, Glacier National Park and the North Cascades of Washington. In fact, working in the Bob Marshall is where my husband and I met. He’s a certified Montana Mountain Man. We hike, backpack, ride dual-sport motorcycles, ski, snowshoe and cook awesome backcountry food together.
Athletics is also a huge part of who I am. I was a competitive rower all through high school (Virginia) and college (University of Tennessee). I went on to coach at the high school, collegiate and masters level for 6 years. While I don’t coach any more, I have learned so many valuable lessons from being an athlete. How to push myself, how to inspire others around me and how to work as a team are just a few life lessons I am grateful for. I now am a more casual athlete… I run, compete in road and adventure races, and I love me some yoga too!
I am also a loving mom to a trail-ready Border Collie mix named Scotty!
